2011-2012 Netball Year 10 v Lincoln Castle Academy
On Thursday the Year 10 netball team played their 2nd league match at home against Castle Academy. The girls approached the game with a positive attitude after their recent loss to William Farr. In the first quarter The Priory dominated the game working hard in centre court to pass into the circle. Amelia Hobson made some superb interceptions and this week the shooters were on form. At half time we led 10 goals to 5 and continued to control the game. Hannah Benton worked her socks off in a new position at GD and no-one seemed to be able to get the ball past her!!! There was more space created on court by Carla Baker who was tripped and hit the deck in third quarter. But like the true sportswomen she is she carried on and goals continued to go in!!!
Well done to the entire squad a thoroughly deserved victory!!!
