2011-2012 Netball Year 11 V William Farr

On Thursday the Year 11 netball team travelled to William Farr to play their first match of the season and they started out with a bang by winning 18-2! The team only let in their first goal in the 3rd quarter thanks to excellent defending by Ayotunde Adeyemi, Anna Standley, Lydia George and Emma Tonner! They did a great job of getting the ball back to our attackers, Amy Corner, Chloe Boyes and Amelia Applewhite who then played the ball successfully down the court and up to our fantastic shooters Katie Sutherland and Courtney Thornton. Katie did some great movement around the D, which enabled both of them to get into good positions to score the fantastic 18 goals! It was a great match for the girls, and has upped their confidence to do well for the rest of the season and hopefully come home with a lot more wins!
