Year 7 Rugby success

Firstly thank you to all staff for releasing all the boys for the tournament.

 

This was the first time the Y7s had been split A and B, and there were also a few players absent through illness.  I was really proud of the boy's performances today, particularly the B Team who were in the same pool as our A Team.  They played with real commitment and were in fact better organised behind the breakdown area than the A squad.  Well done to Matthew Davies and Will Wright who were outstanding.  

 

I am really pleased to report that the A squad remained unbeaten all afternoon and went through to the County Finals as winners of their pool of four (Cordeaux, De Aston, and Priory B).  There were some awesome performances from Logan Watt and George Shepherd; both scored a bucket full of tries.  Logan in particular was spoken to by Nathan Smith (RFU Director of Rugby for Lincolnshire) for potential selection to the U13 Lincolnshire County Rugby team next season.
