6th Form Badminton
Today was a test of nerves, the first 6th Form badminton match of the year. Questions were being asked...did we have the next Emms and Robinson? Could we have the elegance of Kellogg?
The answer... YES...A smashing performance from our drop shot demons Josh Nicholson, George Gregory, Alex Robson and Vicki Bayes.
The boys were up first against a new duo from Ruskin Academy. The boys had a tough battle on their hands playing against a county standard player the other side of the net. However, after a few power play shots the boys came up with the first victory.
The second match led to the ladies dominating their opposition 21-4. The power of Alex and Vicki playing some tricky net shots the girls really shone out.
The next two games were the mixed matches. George paired with Alex and Josh paired with Vicki. Apart from a few smashes and killer drive shots the teams both produced some convincing wins.
A 4-0 victory. A superb result and some lovely badminton was played. Bring on the next match.
