Loss and Bereavement

Losing someone can be one of the hardest things we ever have to deal with, and how we respond to loss can be a very personal response. It is important to recognise that how you feel/react can be very different to others. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. What is important is that have someone you can talk to, and you seek support when you need it.

  • Winston’s Wish provides support to grieving children and young people (up to the age of 25) after the death of someone important.
  • The NHS website provides lots of information about support services, as well as how to look after yourself when grieving.
  • Young Minds also provide guidance and support on grief and loss.
