Modern Foreign Languages Teacher (French & Spanish)

The Priory Witham Academy is seeking to appoint a highly skilled and enthusiastic Modern Foreign Languages teacher to work primarily within Key Stage 3 and 4.  The Academy is an ‘all through school’ with a complete new build which provides a high quality learning environment.

Candidates should be creative, flexible and committed and will be expected to be inspirational and dedicated to motivating all pupils to achieve their fullest potential.

Year Director

September 2013

 The Priory Witham Academy is seeking to appoint an experienced and dynamic teacher to join a team of Year Directors.  The successful candidate will be passionate about improving outcomes for young people.  

Year Directors at the Witham Academy work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Curriculum Leaders.  The principal responsibilities of the post include:

• Pastoral care for a Year-Group
• Managing the Year-Base and Year Staff (Year Administrator, Pupil Support  Assistants, Form Tutors)
• Driving improvements in Learning and Teaching
• Working with the Curriculum Leaders and SLT to ensure appropriate curriculum delivery
• Using data to track pupil progress/outcomes and inform development
• Managing punctuality and attendance
• Facilitating enrichment and extra-curricular activities
• Upholding the Academy’s strong ethos of excellent standards of behaviour and uniform
• Supporting the Academy Development Plan in improving outcomes for pupils and providing key evidence for Ofsted.

Hairdressing Instructor

Salary  (£6,326.80 Pro rata)

We are seeking to appoint an additional Hairdressing Instructor to teach 10 hours of Hairdressing per week.  Hairdressing is offered to students in both KS4 and KS5. The Academy has recently benefitted from a complete new build which includes a Hairdressing Salon which provides a high quality learning environment. Candidates should ideally have a Level 3 Hairdressing qualification. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, flexible, organised and IT literate.  It is essential that they possess good inter personal skills and enjoy a team approach to work.
